The CamelCase dictator

The function capital_P_dangit() dictates a capital P in WordPress wherever you write WordPress inside the_content, the_title and comment_text. Try to write WordPress with a lowercase p and you’ll see, the function takes care of it. What a dictatorial function…

Even http://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/capital_p_dangit/ failed to write it wrong:

Forever eliminate “WordPress” from the planet (or at least the little bit we can influence).

UPDATE: They managed to write it wrong, finally :D

They meant: “Forever eliminate “Wordpress” from the planet (or at least the little bit we can influence).”

Ha, take that CamelCase dictator, my <strong> is way too strong for your dictatorship.

The long way to democracy

I agree, the capital P in “WordPress” is a must. But if you wanna overcome this dictatorship and celebrate democracy, you should check out the capital_P_dangit Codex-Page or install the Remove Wordpress to WordPress filter-Plugin to disable the function.

Sadly, capitalP.org is down right now. What an awesome site that was…

UPDATE: It’s up again, yeehaaaw! – thanks Hinnerk
